The Case of 2 Tablets

Scene 1:

19 years ago, an old lady fell sick and was admitted in the ICU of a private hospital. In those days, medical facilities for chronic ailments were few and far in between. The doctors did all they could to save the life of the patient. Alas, the doctor said, "It can be cured with the help of a certain tablet!" Joy knew no bounds for the near and dear. They ran helter-skelter to find that elusive drug. No pillar nor pole was left unsearched. The heavens bowed down in search too. Finally, after days of search, it was found. There were celebrations all around; the kith and kin could no longer contain the excitement; some even fainted; some swooned. There were jubilant screams of 'Appidi Podu' and  'Adra Sakkai' while the tablet was being administered. "It's too late. She's dead," whispered the doctor. There was utter silence; the heart beats could be heard with atomic precision; there was stillness in the air; they'd left no stoned unturned in the quest for the life saving drug. Yet, it couldn't do what it was intended to be made for.

Scene 2:

A young, intelligent boy, almost just like me, was looking out of the window with a spark in his eyes. He wanted a tablet that would be the apple of everyone's eyes. He dreamed of owning one such device; he thought of all the things he would do with it - use Microsoft Office, play Solitaire, paint using MS Paint, write code in C++; and all this, on the move. He saved up money for it. But it was far too much beyond his reach. He even tried behaving like a good boy so that he could impress his father. But his true nature couldn't be contained. His raw and abrasive approach did not help his cause in any way. Finally, when he'd given up, after many years, the soft corner in his father's heart melted and he decided to get him the tablet he always wanted. There were jubilant screams of 'Appidi Podu' and  'Adra Sakkai' while the tablet was being administered. "It's too late. My desire for it is dead," whispered the boy. "This tablet does nothing that I want. It cannot do the most basic of all needs: connect to the internet. I have no use for this. Trash it," said the boy with a tone of anguish. It was the age of the iPads and Galaxy Tabs

Day 3 - Pasta Primavera with Red Sauce

Has been a lovely day so far. It's actually my rest day as far as abs workout is concerned. All the abdominal muscles are doing fine. They are known as the laziest muscles of the body, because in our normal life we hardly ever stretch them backward or contract them.

As I have been experimenting a lot with food these days, here's another Yummilicious dish I prepared. It's amazing how simple it is to cook. I wonder why I didn't learn to do it earlier. In fact, that has been the case with everything in life.

Learning to cook and having the freedom to cook in your home is definitely an advantage that I enjoy in an otherwise mom-dominated kitchen. Now, my whole family joins me in gobbling up my dinner-time experiments. I must say, they have infinite patience.

I happened to come across a brilliant blog about two absolutely adorable dolls called Srikar and Sarveshwar.
