Radhe Shaam!

It's very rare that things touch my heart so tenderly as reading 'Krishnavatara - The Magic Flute' did.

The author, K M Munshi, took me through a beautiful journey, traversing the times of Krishna, in a mesmerizing way. When I read the book, I felt like I was actually there, seeing it happen in front of my eyes.

The way he has portrayed the love that the Gopas and Gopis had for Krishna; the love of Mother Yashodha; the love of the cows, mountains and rivers, made me yearn to be that character; so totally, madly in love.

Radha. Just uttering that name makes me long for His presence. She was an embodiment of longing, and longing for the infinite. That's what 'Radhe Shaam' means.

Though I've read about Krishna and have heard numerous stories about His superhuman feats, heroic battles and how He came successful out of them all, the author has stupendously managed to maintain suspense, thrill and drama throughout the book.

I would rank this definitely in the list of top 10 books that I've read in my life.

A must read!

Now, go get yourself a copy from here.

Yeah! I totally agree, while reading it I was definitely transported to that era, that place and was enveloped by that love. While reading about Yashoda, I wanted to be her and while reading about Radha, I just became her!(only i don't think it lasted after having read the book :P)

I feel so grateful that I have a Guru! Man! He's awesome! just like Krishna! :)

I agree! It's so easy to feel Bhakti just by reading that book. Even Srimad Bhagavatam by Kama Subramaniam is under the folds of Munshee...some characters from there are even mentioned :) What an infinitely lovely book
